Hope News --- September 2019
Posted on 09/06/2019
Hosted by our director of Communications, Linda Bardere, the District brings the community our first Hope News broadcast of the 2019-20 school year. In this broadcast we bring the community one of the most significant changes coming to San Bernardino City Schools is a new and improved Community Engagement Plan, which we refer to as CEP 2.0. Over the course of this school year, we will be devoting monthly segments to informing our school community about this new phase of our strategic plan, which serves as our roadmap for making hope happen.
In addition, every year, hundreds of high school students across the District attend the U-CAN College Fair to meet with recruiters and some of them are accepted on the spot to prestigious Historically Black Colleges & Universities. This year’s U-CAN College Fair is on Thursday, September 19 from 8 a.m. to noon., so save the date! And, our District College Night is on Tuesday, September 24 at Indian Springs High School from 6 to 8 p.m.
Also, we introduce our new director of Equity and Targeted Student Achievement, Wil Greer and ask why equity is so important for students in our community.
