The public is invited to the iCreate Family Festival on Wednesday, May 1, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the National Orange Show Event Center.
iCreate is a chance for San Bernardino City Unified School District (SBCUSD) students in CAPS (Creative After-school Programs for Success) Expanded Learning to share what they have learned about the world and themselves beyond the boundaries of the school day.
The student performances kick off at 6 p.m. with Henry Elementary School. The free entertainment continues through most of the night featuring students from Salinas, Palm Avenue, Roosevelt, Ramona-Alessandro, Holcomb, Kendall, Gomez, and Rio Vista Elementary Schools and Chavez and Richardson PREP HI Middle Schools.
Thousands of District students from kindergarten through high school participate in CAPS academic enrichment programs before and after school. CAPS enhances what students learn during the school day by focusing on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math).
Children and adults can enjoy free performances and interactive booths with both fun and educational activities. Visit www.sbcusd.com/icreate to learn more and see photos from last year’s event.
