Welcome to a new year at Bob Holcomb Elementary. I’m glad to be able to communicate with you through our school website. It is my pleasure to be a part of your children’s lives and be able to support them with their education. My goal is to help your children learn and develop as productive members of our community. Teachers, staff and I are anxiously awaiting the students’ return in order to start guiding them through an exciting journey full of new learning experiences.

You also play an important role in your child’s learning process. With your support, your child will be successful in school. Besides helping them with homework and reading with them, you can also volunteer in the classroom, and if you would like to be a chaperone in field trip you need to file a Volunteer Application. Please ask in the office for a volunteer application.

The first day of school for all students attending Bob Holcomb is Monday August 7th which will be a regular day, dismissing students at 3:30 (except K & TK morning sessions).  Regular school hours for grades Kinder Full day, 1st to 6th will be from 8:50 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., except most Mondays which are minimum days (school hours are from 8:50 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.). As of July 3, 2017 we have been authorized as the first IB-PYP school in the district.  We are planning a celebratory event. We will celebrate with all our students, parents and staff, as well as with our community members and school district. I f you want to have more information about the IB-PYP program follow the link provided in the website.

If you were not contacted, we will have more information on the first day of CAPS which will be on Tuesday August 8th. CAPS hours are 3:30 - 6:00 on regular days and from 1:00 - 6:00 on minimum days.
