Tony Plana, who played Ignacio Suarez in the Ugly Bettytelevision series, as well as roles in Desperate HousewivesMadam Secretary, and 24, will MC the San Bernardino City Unified School District (SBCUSD) iCreate Family Fair on Saturday, April 14 at Cal State San Bernardino.

The iCreate Family Fair will feature more than 60 STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) booths, with CAPS Expanded Learning students leading hands-on robotics and coding demonstrations and a free, mobile planetarium provided by Arrowhead United Way. Other SBCUSD students will showcase their talents in dance, music, and spoken word/poetry on two stages. One stage will be dedicated to SBCUSD’s elementary students and another to middle and high school performers.

The entertainment schedule includes the Rio Vista Elementary School cheer squad, K-pop (Korean pop) music performances from Jones Elementary School and San Bernardino High School students, and performances by the Teen Music Workshop, a project of Richardson PREP HI Middle School.

Thousands of District students from kindergarten through high school participate in CAPS academic enrichment programs before and after school. CAPS enhances what students learn during the school day by focusing on STEAM, short for science, technology, engineering, arts, and math.

iCreate is a partnership among SBCUSD, Arrowhead United Way, the Science Experience, CAPS Expanded Learning, and San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools. CAPS Expanded Learning also works with the Boys and Girls Club, YMCA, C.H.O.R.D.S., Project Life Impact, Youth Action Project (YAP), Ecclesia Christian Fellowship, Project Fighting Chance, and Akoma Unity Center.

The fair will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Cal State San Bernardino’s Santos Manuel Student Union Center. This event is free and open to the public. Parking at Cal State San Bernardino is free for the first 500 vehicles arriving on Saturday, April 14 for this event. Please enter the campus via University Avenue or Serrano Village Drive to obtain a free parking permit.

PARKING: Please park in parking Lot D. There will be attendants at the 3 parking permit dispensers closest to parking Lot D. They will be entering codes to allow for FREE Parking.
